Trump had done Putin’s bidding: a divided US, a drastically weakened NATO where its allies no longer trust the US and fewer American soldiers stationed in Europe. A financially weakened West because of the pandemic ("it will just go away") and a US government that looks ready to be overthrown and a fascist dictatorship installed. And who better to fill the boots of the dictator than the man who destabelized it? The man who made the Americans believe that if they hand-over the country to him personally so he can enrich himself they will be better off. The man who admires dictators and despises democracies.

It’s time for Russia to invade. The US and the West will either do nothing, or it will be war and their democracies may well crumble under the additional stress. A large chunk of the population will believe that the war is caused by the democratic leaders, democratic institutions and the democratic elite. They will believe Putin (Fox has been praising Putin since Trump started doing it).

There are many other possible scenarios, but the soil seems fertile for Putin to establish himself as the great national leader who rebuilt Russia’s Empire to its former glory.

Whilst no-one is watching maybe it’s time for China to invade Taiwan.

In any case the strategy worked: Biden and the democrats will get the blame whilst Trump and his minions will say that Putin would not have done it if Trump were still President. In the ensuing chaos GOP may start a full on civil war (they got all the guns).
