Trump 2.0 — The Greatest President Ever, part 2
This is the second part of my article wherein I argue that President Trump has a far bigger decision to make than when to re-open the economy. (See here part 1).
Building a brick house
The US government is forced to inject trillions of dollars into the economy to soften the economic impact of Covid-19. Why not inject this money based on a plan that seeds a new, healthier economy based on a healthier and smarter workforce?
Maybe that’s exactly what the Trump administration is doing, but if they are, then why not advertise it and create positive momentum? I am sure the voters would appreciate some credible positive news from their government, instead of fake positive news such as “It is all under control” and “it will disappear like magic”.
A prepared, healthy, stable, resilient country saves future urgent expenses and is more resistant to future shocks. Voters have a longer view than than the 4–8 years of a President (Trump may think that he will be there for longer, but that is for another article), and they are likely to vote for a vision that requires sacrifices and hard work, and that appears credible and delivers a better, stronger, healthier and more resilient future.
