Trump 2.0 — The Greatest President Ever, part 1

The President stated on Friday April 10, when US infections approached the half-million mark, that he wants to re-open the economy. He said it would be “the biggest decision he has ever had to make”.

MAGA or MAMOTS?

In my previous post (see: Trump’s “metrics right here” not required), I said that the President is wrong. I believe his decision is much bigger than when to re-open the economy. Would re-opening the economy Make America Great Again (MAGA) or MAMOTS (Make America More Of The Same), or even MAWO (Make Americo Worse Off)?

Trump has not yet seen the opportunity of the corona crisis: an opportunity to be re-elected and earn the title of Greatest President Ever.

Can he see the opportunity and if so, will he grab it and deliver?

His biggest decision should be to change the US economy.

This Covid-19 pause in the world economy is the time that the US can use its position of economic dominance to re-shape its economy and become the healthiest and strongest economy for the next 100 years.
