Remember: there are as many people with an IQ below 100 as there are above it.

You get to the lower part by talking simple and stupid. You reach the higher side with arguments, viewpoints, data and logic. That's at least 4 times the effort.

A clever politician (do I need to say: without morals?) will go the easy route and talk stoopid.

After all wouldn't it be stoopid to spend 4 times the effort to win the same number of votes?
