Interesting. I never looked at urban males as more effeminate. In my experience urban machismo is also quite prevalent, but it is acted out differently, by attempting to become, or at least act like, a top honcho careerman/woman, splurging tons of money on cars, food, clothes, cocaine and apartments that are 1 or 2 steps above their paygrade.
But I agree that rational man may appear like a 'sissy' to neanderthaler man. ;)
