In between volunteering with the cleanup in Valencia, where I live, I wrote an article on Medium, about the DANA disaster from the comfort of my untouched home. Guess what? The politicians showed their incompetence, but did the media point out the incompetence of the voters? No shit: the president of Valencia's autonomic province was having a 5 hour lunch whist the region was set on the highest meteoroligal alert. With whom, you ask? Yes, a beautiful television host. For business, of course. Very important business. More important than the province of Valencia being on the highest disaster alert. For sure he knew what to say to the voters to get to his position of president. I am sure he didn't tell his voters that he would increase taxes so that they would be prepared to deal with disasters. And he was right. The people get the politicians they deserve. It''s never us, the voters, who are wrong.
