If the elite gave a damn about their country, they would want to make sure its resources are the most productive. What's a nation's most important resource? Young people and their brainpower. And guess what? There's no correlation between brainpower and parent-wealth. But there is a inverse correlation between parent-poverty and child motivation+grit to achieve results (when given the opportunity). We should start before universities and abolish private schools to boot.
