I don’t have much confidence in a people of which 48% vote for an incompetent malicious idiot and 100% allow for gerrymandered districts to override the vote of the people. And the most radicalized are the ones protecting this sorry state of affairs. The use of power has become the go-to negotiation style. For democracy to function requires intelligence, education, negotiation and empathy. When reading these four criteria out loud, one doesn’t immediately think of the USA.
