Politics is also the refuge where those for whom science was too hard, can meet and feel validated in their belief that their every uttered brainfart is ‘valider’ than any reasoned argument from their opponents. With louder brainfarts they ‘own’ elitist, intellectually superior Democrats. At least so they feel. And that’s what counts. Booyakasha! We can say what we want about CNN and MSNBC and their bias, but their arguments, on the whole, are valid. Fox News is incapable of ,or unwilling to, even construct an argument. And that’s fine for their audiences.

It would indeed be very healing if at least all the ‘intellectual’ news channels were to boycot Trump, but maybe the fear for Trump 2.0 is required to mobilize intellectual, but lazy voters, because the Trump voters are always gonna vote. Just to ‘own’ Democrats.
