Clearly Trump created an environment wherein simply doing one's job in a correct manner became a heroic act. Extortion. Endangering US and its allies. Par for the course in the world of Only-I-can-fix-it. And the American system allows for it to happen and without consequences.

The question remains though: how come Zelensky's visit to the White House never eventuated? Did Trump subsequently receive an extortion-call from Putin and thus Trump retracted his offer?

Thanks for your good work Lieutenant-Colonel. A few good men and Trump's incompetence have saved the US, momentarily, from the abyss. But I am sure Putin is scheming how he can get his idiotic puppet whom he can blackmail so easily, back in power, so as to make Trump rich and let the US implode. Trump is Russia's chance of a lifetime to annihilate America from within. And Trump wouldn't want it any other way.
