At the outbreak of Covid, I wrote an article on Medium in which I described the scenario of Covid attacking the human reproductive system.

In this scenario it takes 5-10 years after infection for the sperm- and egg-production to stop functioning due to the low, but consistent viral activity, as the virus, like the cold sore virus (the Herpes Simplex virus), nestles in the reproductive organs (or in nose/ behind lip), but unlike Herpes Simplex, it continues its detrimental activities even when there are no other symptoms, and eventually destroys the reproductive system. We will only realize that this is the case in the not too distant future. But hey, if you prefer a new, natural virus with unknown consequences, including the possibility of human extinction, to using well-understood and safe technologies such as vaccines, then, if there is enough of you guys, the virus will do whatever it is that it will do and there will be no escape, also not for the people who think that new viruses must be contained at all cost and take all possible safety measures.

And as the virus continues to spread and mutate and it keeps infecting us, appearing to now cause only some temporary coughing and a little fever, we accept it like a little flu. But in a few years the virus will have done its hidden work and humans affected by Covid will no longer be capable to reproduce. It's still spreading. It now evades vaccines as it mutates. It's irreversible.

But oh boy, it was better to let the unknown 'natural' virus circulate and not stamp it out with social distancing and human-made vaccines, right?
